GLOBAL MULTISITE CONTENT MANAGEMENT IMPLEMENTATION
Thirdwave has developed a global site management system for Life Fitness. This CMS implementation includes multilingual capabilities and support for editors around the globe.
LifeFitness.com extends to more than 27 Web sites, all supported by a single content management system that manages multiple languages and a complex series of workflows. The CMS allows editors and marketing directors to review content edits within the true site context in advance of pushing new content out to the public Web servers. Its tight integration with Click Tracks traffic software also provides complete analytics in detailed reports constructed by Thirdwave.
COMPLEX PRODUCT INFORMATION DATABASE AND DISPLAY
Additionally, a custom product information management tool has been developed to support specific product page layout requirements and localization in multiple languages while maintaining a straightforward method of managing this data. The product information database was imported from a third party vendor that provided XML data. This was a scripted import to normalize the data into its new data structure. Product information is also part of the localized set of data, when users visit a “regional” version of the website the product properties are displayed in their own local character set and language.
